Words + Pixels wins PR Week’s Boutique Consultancy of the Year

We are PRWeek's Boutique Consultancy of the Year

The brief

This is one of the most prestigious awards in the PR industry – winning this title truly feels like taking home an Oscar.

A huge thank you to every single Pixel whose hard work, passion and creativity got us to this point.

In less than five years, we’ve grown into a thriving boutique agency, now nearly 30-strong. This award is a testament to our team’s dedication, strategic thinking and innovative approach, reinforcing our reputation as a leading boutique PR agency in the UK.

PR Week’s judges recognised our strong business strategy and people-first culture, noting: "An excellent demonstration of growth and business strategy… the focus on people makes this consultancy special."

The approach

A standout year for Words + Pixels

From bold campaigns to team milestones, here are just a few highlights that made this year unforgettable:

  • Championing diversity in PR – We hosted over 30 aspiring PR professionals through the Taylor Bennett Foundation, promoting BAME representation in communications.
  • Team retreat in Paris – Our annual getaway included brainstorming sessions and strategic planning, rounded off with a private dinner cruise along the Seine.
  • Creating standout brand experiences – We designed an interactive 360-degree anamorphic sculpture showcasing David Tennant regenerating into the new Doctor Who, Ncuti Gatwa, for Back Market’s partnership with BBC Studios
  • Raising awareness for social impact – We worked with Social-Ability to highlight dementia-supporting technology, inviting a BBC camera crew to capture its effect in care homes.
  • Transforming public spaces – We turned an old van into an optical illusion for Lime, reclaiming wasted parking spaces to advocate for better cycling infrastructure.
  • Growing the team – We welcomed plenty of new faces, including our first furry Pixel!
  • H4: Investing in career development – Our Pixel Pathways programme supported structured career progression, leading to multiple well-deserved promotions.
